Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a card for Tupelo Designs LLC and I’ll be doing some Masking techniques using different products.  The stamp set I’ll be using is this super adorable ghosts from Lawn Fawn, Booyah set and the starry backdrop set.  First I stamped out the ghosts in MFT’s Black hybrid licorice ink and colored them using my Copic markers.  I then applied the Triple Thick brush on gloss on the ghosts using a paint brush.  I loved the fact that it covered the area super quickly.  I let it dry completely, so that it’ll resist any inking or embossing I’ll be doing on top.  I needed my masking paper to mask the ghosts so I can create a moon behind the ghosts.  I could not find my Inkadinkado masking paper that I normally use for all my masking anywhere. I remembered that I saw someone using contact paper, Shelf liner as a masking paper so I decided to try it out with some left over shelf liner I had.  To my surprise, it worked beautifully.  I was super happy that it worked.  I cut out a circle and placed it over the ghost and stamped out the starry backdrop using versamark, embossed it using White embossing powder.  I wanted to create a night sky, so I covered the whole area using Chipped sapphire and black soot.  After making my night sky, I peeled off the shelf liner to reveal the circle, which will be my moon.  I used Fossilized amber distress ink to color in my moon. The Ghosts will resist the ink because it has been covered with the Triple thick, which is very similar to glossy accents.  I stamped out the sentiment on a black card stock with the same white embossing powder and attached it to the bottom of the night sky.  I hope you like this card and found this video helpful for different masking techniques.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks again.  Please visit the store for all the supplies I used on this card.

Aloha guys!

Today I’m doing some paper piecing using the Gerda Steiner Designs Monster Fun stamp set.  I just adore these monsters, so I had to use them again.  Instead of coloring them, I’ll be doing some paper piecing.  I’m sure we all have tons of scraps left over from projects so this a perfect way to use up some of those scraps of paper.  I stamped out multiple images on multiple pattern paper and fussy cut all of them out.  I chose 3 monsters for my card and attached them to circles, also backed with some scraps of paper.  I still have many monsters left over from this card which I can use on another project.  I have a full tutorial for this card above if you are interested.  I want to thank you guys so much for stopping by and please hit the subscribe and follow button for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks again

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m doing some Copic Coloring on Cryogen Iridescent card stock from Paper Temptress.   I’ve heard some great things about this card stock so I was really excited to try it out.  It has a slight shimmer, not too over powering but very slightly.  I stamped out this La La land crafts Lil’ Devil Marci using MFT’s Hybrid licorice black ink, which is my favorite ink for Copic coloring.  I don’t know if you can tell by the pictures but the colors are super bright and shows the depth of this image, but also has a slight shimmer.  I feel that the ink stays on the top of the paper a little longer, making the blending really easy.  If you have trouble getting a smooth blend, this card stock is perfect.  I only recorded the coloring portion but I will make something with this image and I’ll share that with you later.  Paper Temptress offers variety of Copic friendly card stocks and it can be purchased individually as well as sets.  They carry Luxury card stocks, which are excellent quality, you will definitely fall in love with them as I have.  There are tons of different card stocks as well as Hambly screen prints, all types of vellum, textured card stocks, and more.  Go ahead and check out all the different types of card stocks she carries.  I hope you enjoyed this coloring video, showing how this card stocks behave with Copic markers.  I’ll list the colors I used below and please leave me a comment if you ‘d like to see more coloring videos like this.  Please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll catch you next time.  Thanks again!

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a DT card for Tupelo Designs LLC.  I’ll be using the new Altenew stamp set called Wild Hibiscus and I’ll be doing some Ink Smooshing using distress inks.  I’ve been seeing many people do this smooching technique and I wanted to try it out myself.  I also used the Ranger Liquid platinum embossing powder, I think it gives a real elegant look.  I chose out 3 distress inks, Mustard seed, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves and used a acetate to do the smooching.  I really like this technique and I’m sure I’ll be doing this more often.  I hope you guys enjoyed this and please watch the video for a full step by step.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks so much 🙂

Product Focus-Brusho Crystal Colors

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m playing with Brusho’s.  I’m pretty sure you guys are familiar with these products since they are popular right now.  These are Highly pigmented watercolor crystal similar to the Ken Oliver Color bursts.  The kind folks from Colorcraft was generous enough to send me these to play with, which is Awesome!!

These Brusho’s are manufactured in Sheffield in England, and they have been around for over 35 years.  Wow, right?  They have 32 colors available, which I think is totally Awesome!!  They come in many different sets and many different sizes.  The sizes in these containers have about 15 grams of powder, that’s almost twice the amount, that’s in the color bursts.  I love the fact that there’s tons of colors to choose from.  These can be purchased in sets as well as individuals.  So lets’s start playing 🙂

I just poked a hole on the top of these bottles and just put some washi tape for now but eventually, I’ll put thumb tacks in the holes.  The colors are very intense and vivid, and I love to watch the effect when it touches water.

These are background stamps that I embossed using some white embossing powder.  Look at the cool effect that they created.  The embossed image pretty much resisted the colors, giving this cool effect.  FullSizeRender 8FullSizeRender 6

These were created, using some stencils.  I got 2 different looks with using only 1 stencil.  I used the powders on top of the stencil to get a mono print, giving me these 2 different looks.

These are some other ones, I created.  This is basically it.  I had so much fun playing with these and I really love them.  I like these way more that the color bursts, because it comes in so many different colors.  I don’t think, one product is better than the other.  I think it’s personal preference, and it depends on what look you are trying to create.  Both products are fantastic, and I’ll definitely be playing with these a lot more.   Go ahead and check out the video up above if you want to see these crystals react with water.  It’s pretty cool.  Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you join me next time. Thanks again!

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a DT card for Tupelo Designs LLC using the New Waffle Flower stamp set called Hibiscus.  It seems like the Hawaiian and Polynesian theme is becoming popular with all the hibiscus and pineapples everywhere.  Today’s stamp set has some Hibiscus and this bird that I’ll be partially watercoloring and stamping.  I love the fact that we have the option to choose whether you want to color or just stamp.  I do both today and I’m using the Peerless watercolor’s, which is one of my favorites because of it’s vibrant colors.  I wanted this bird to be very bright and colorful.  I love this stamp set and I’ll definitely use it again with the Hibiscus next time.  I hope you like this and for the step by step, please watch the video up above.  Please give a thumbs up if you like this card and hit the subscribe button for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks for stopping by and I’ll catch you guys next time 🙂

Gerda Steiner Designs Brand New Stamp Monster Party and Paper Temptress Card Stock

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a card using the Brand New Release of Gerda Steiner Designs Monster Party, Now Available for purchase in Gerda Steiner Designs Store.  I’m also using some of the Paper Temptress Card stocks, couple of my Favorite Vellum that the store carries.  I’ll have all the links to the supplies I used in the descriptions below.

I absolutely Love this new stamp set, it has the most cutest Monsters ever, which I’m sure you’ll agree.  I fell in love with this stamp set as soon as I saw them and I could not wait to start playing with them.  This week was not a good week for me, I am sick and I still am but I could not resist the temptation to make something with this so I made something very clean and simple.  I went ahead and used some of my Favorite vellums from Paper Temptress as well as her Crystal Mica Metallic card stocks.  I personally Love Vellum and I have a hard time finding patterned vellum so I’ll continue to use these vellums, until I use them all up, lol.  These vellums are not your ordinary vellum. They are textured but it’s also a Heavy duty vellum so your adhesive doesn’t even show up, unlike your ordinary vellum.  I LOVE them ❤

I cut 2 of the vellum piece, with a MFT’s stitched bubble die and stamped out the sentiment that says, Do I smell Cake?  I curved the sentiment slightly, so that it’ll line up with the thought bubble. I also stamped out the monster using MFT’s Hybrid black licorice ink on some Neenah solar white card stock.  I colored the monster with my Shinhan Touch Twin Alcohol markers and attached it onto some Crystal Mica Metallic card stock from Paper Temptress.  I hope you like this card and please check out the video for a full step by step tutorial.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Also, check out both Gerda Steiner Designs Blog as well as the Paper Temptress Blog for more inspirations from the Design Team.  I’ll leave the links below.  Thanks again

Prismacolor Pencils with Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Fall Stamp

IMG_8856

Aloha Guys!

Today I wanted to share this card I made using the Brand New Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Fall Stamp set.  This stamp set is Now Available in the Gerda Steiner Designs Store, which I’ll leave the link below.  This stamp set has so many cute critters, I had a hard time choosing which ones I wanted to use first.  I really love this squirrel with his puffy cheeks, and it reminded me of all the acorns he stuffed in his mouth.  I stamped out a whole pile of acorns using some masking technique and placed the squirrel on top of it.  I decided to use my Prismacolor pencils today as my coloring medium.  I stamped the squirrel in some brown momento ink and colored him using the same brown tone.  I also found some design paper that reminded me of fall and put my card together.  Pretty simple card but I really love the way it turned out.  I don’t have a video for this card because I didn’t know if I was going to share it or not.  I’ll also leave the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog link down below, so you can go visit and see all the fabulous Designs that the Design team made with this stamp set.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks so much 🙂
