Faber-Castell Metallic Pencils on Black Card stock

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a card for the Lawnscaping Challenge, which is to use Sentiments.  I wanted to use the Faber-Castell Metallic pencils on black card stock, so that the metallic will show up better.  I went ahead and stamped one of the sentiments from the Lawn Fawn’s Chitchat stamp set and embossed it using white embossing powder.  I then colored in the speech bubble randomly using 4 of the metallic pencils.  I used Gold, Silver, Pink, and Blue.  I think the metallic shows up really nicely on Black card stock.  These pencils are not water-soluble like the Derwent metallic pencils.  I believe these are wax based.  These are student grade pencils and I think they don’t have as much metallic as the Derwent but it’s ok for techniques like this.  No blending but just coloring in the image.  I hope you enjoyed this card and please subscribe and follow for more inspiration and ideas.  Thanks again 🙂

Masking Using Triple Thick Gloss and Contact Paper-Tupelo Designs LLC

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a card for Tupelo Designs LLC and I’ll be doing some Masking techniques using different products.  The stamp set I’ll be using is this super adorable ghosts from Lawn Fawn, Booyah set and the starry backdrop set.  First I stamped out the ghosts in MFT’s Black hybrid licorice ink and colored them using my Copic markers.  I then applied the Triple Thick brush on gloss on the ghosts using a paint brush.  I loved the fact that it covered the area super quickly.  I let it dry completely, so that it’ll resist any inking or embossing I’ll be doing on top.  I needed my masking paper to mask the ghosts so I can create a moon behind the ghosts.  I could not find my Inkadinkado masking paper that I normally use for all my masking anywhere. I remembered that I saw someone using contact paper, Shelf liner as a masking paper so I decided to try it out with some left over shelf liner I had.  To my surprise, it worked beautifully.  I was super happy that it worked.  I cut out a circle and placed it over the ghost and stamped out the starry backdrop using versamark, embossed it using White embossing powder.  I wanted to create a night sky, so I covered the whole area using Chipped sapphire and black soot.  After making my night sky, I peeled off the shelf liner to reveal the circle, which will be my moon.  I used Fossilized amber distress ink to color in my moon. The Ghosts will resist the ink because it has been covered with the Triple thick, which is very similar to glossy accents.  I stamped out the sentiment on a black card stock with the same white embossing powder and attached it to the bottom of the night sky.  I hope you like this card and found this video helpful for different masking techniques.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks again.  Please visit the store for all the supplies I used on this card.

Aloha Guy!

Today I’m sharing this card I made using this super adorable penguin from Gerda Steiner Designs stamp.  This penguin is available in both Rubber and Digital Format.  He is the most cutest penguin ever!! I used the digital format and the presents that he’s standing on top of is available in digital form along with the present on his hand.  You can purchase these items from the links below if you’re interested.  I first placed the penguin on top of these present’s and also placed the present in his hand and printed him out.  I cut the entire image using the Lawn Fawn’s Large Stitched Rectangle die and cut another rectangle using the bigger die for the stitched edges.  The Christmas tree I used on this card is from Stampin Up and it’s from the last years collection.  I colored the penguin and the gifts using my Copic Markers and I Stamped the tree overlapping both rectangles.  I used some stickles to decorate the trees and to give it a sparkly look and also added the stickles to his Santa Hat.  This is a pretty simple card and I hope you guys like this card.  I have a full tutorial for this card on my Youtube Channel if you like to check that out.  Thank you so much for visiting and please subscribe for more inspirations and ideas.  Thank you and Much Mahalo

Paper Smooches-Hooties And Stampin Up

IMG_7286.JPG

IMG_7285.JPG

Aloha Guys!
Happy Cyber Monday, I hope you guys are getting some goodies since there’s so many great sales going on all over the Internet. I love Black Friday and Cyber Monday’s. I look forward to these more than Christmas, lol. Anyways, today I’m sharing a very quick card I made using the Paper Smooches Hooties Stamp set and the trees from the Stampin up White Christmas stamp set. I stamped out the 2 owls with Archival jet black ink on some watercolor paper because I’m going to be Watercoloring the owls with my watercolor Paints. I also stamped out one of the branches from the Hooties set and I freehand the tree trunk for the branch and ran it through my woodgrain embossing folder to make the tree more realistic. I sponged on some tim Holtz distress walnut stain all over the tree trunk and placed it on the left side of the card.  I them took part of the tree from the Stampin Up White Christmas stamp set that I cut out and stamped them across the bottom portion of the card using the Walnut stain distress ink.  I used both the first generation and the second to make it look like a forest in the background.  I cut out 2 hills with brown card stock and also sponged it with walnut stain.  I put the hills using foam adhesive and glue at the bottom to give more detention and placed the tree and the 2 owls on the tree trunk.  I put some shiny hearts that I cut out using the Mama Elephant’s confetti die that I keep in a separate container with all different colors to finish of this card.  I hope you like this card and I also have a Full Tutorial on how I made this card on my Youtube channel if you like to check that out!  Thank you so much for all your support and Please subscribe if you haven’t already for more inspirations and ideas.  Much Mahalo.

Aloha Guys!
Today I’m bring you another Shaker card using the Gerda Steiner Designs Dog on a Scooter digital stamp. I am SUPER EXCITED to tell you guys that I am on the Gerda Steiner Designs Deaign Team!!! YAY😁 I am Super Excited and Honored that she invited me to join her Awsome Team!! WooHoo!! I made this card last week, even before joining her team because I just adore her super cute images. I used this Dog because he was super cute riding his little scooter with his safety helmet and I decided to make a scenic background as a shaker part of my card. I cut out a Polaroid part using MFT’s stitched Square die. I colored the dog using my Shinhan touch alcohol makers. I made the scene by cutting out the tree border die from Lawn Fawn with the green textured paper and used the Mama Elephant’s landscape trio die to cut the cloud looking die. I used that as my stencil to put some color for the sky. I have a full tutorial for this card on my YouTube channel if you’d like to check that out.  Also check out all the cute images that Gerda has on her website which I’ll put a link below.  Thank you so much for visiting and please subscribe for more inspirations and ideas.  Much Mahalo
