Aloha Guys!

Today I have another CAS (Clean and Simple) card for you using PaperTemptress card stocks. I have this image that I colored using the Heavenly White 120#, which I have a tutorial for. I’ll leave the link below if you want to check it out. I mentioned before that this card stock does not bleed though the back, so it’s perfect for those one layered cards, using your alcohol markers.  I kept this card pretty simple, because I wanted to use the Pink Ice Parchment paper.   I didn’t want to cover up too much of the card stock, since it has this unique design and color to it.  I back it with the Hot fudge card stock, I love the pink and the fudge.  I’m also using the Ski blue stripe vellum to emboss my sentiment.  I thought the light blue matched perfectly with this color combination.  I stamped the sentiment out with versa fine onyx, so I can emboss it using my clear embossing powder.  This vellum has a great weight to it, so it didn’t even warp as I was heating up the sentiment.  I added some details with some sequins, black belly roll pen and my Signo white gel pen.  Pretty simple but I really liked how it turned out.  I hope you enjoyed this card and there’s still a GIVEAWAY going on right now, so scroll down to check that out.  I may be choosing 1 additional winner, since Patricia from PaperTemptress was generous enough to donate 2 paper packs.  Yay!!  More the prize the better, right?  So don’t forget to subscribe to me Youtube channel and leave me a comment to be entered in the drawing 🙂  Check out the PaperTemptress’s Blog to see all the Design team’s inspirations.  Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll catch you next time 🙂

Newtons’ Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge with Paper Temptress-Halloween

IMG_9106

Aloha Guys!

Today I made a card for the Newton’s Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge and the theme for this challenge was Halloween.  I don’t think I own any of the Newton’s Nook’s designs Halloween stamp set or if I have them, I forgot where I put them, lol.  It’s crazy how things get lost in my craft room, lol.

Anyways, I needed to create a Halloween theme card so I decided to use this turtle from the In Slow Motion Stamp set and created my own Halloween theme.  I don’t have a video for this card because I was really sick the whole last week.  This just came about as I was sitting in bed, just coloring random stamps.  Initially I wanted to create a Birthday card with this, since the turtle actually has a present tied to his shell.  I came up with 2 cards, almost the same design.  One is a birthday card and the other being this Halloween card.  I’ll share the other card in another time.

I went ahead and stamped out 3 turtles onto Neenah Solar White card stock from Paper Temptress.  One on top of the other, masking the present on his shell, except for the top turtle.  He has a present on his back but I attached a velvet bat on the present instead.  I wanted this to be a Halloween card so I went ahead and stamped out one of the party hats from the same stamp set.  I stamped it out very lightly so that I can draw in the bottom of the hat, making it into a witches hat.  I colored it black and it fit perfectly on the turtle.  I then stamped out couple of the candy bags from the Lawn Fawn’s stamp sets, which also fit in the turtles mouth perfectly.  I cut the mouth of the turtle with my exacto knife and also cut a slit on the top of the bags, so that it can fit inside the turtles mouth.  Super cute, right?  I stamped out the sentiment from the same In Slow Motion set that says Shell-abrate!  Super cleaver sentiment!  I also stamped out underneath of the Shell-abrate using a Stampin Up’s stamp.  I colored all the turtles using my Shinhan Touch Twin alcohol markers, which I use pretty regularly and it blends beautifully on this Neenah card stock.  I love these markers ❤  I also found some small candies, from another Lawn Fawn’s stamp set and attached it to the other 2 turtles.

I used Dusty concord and Black soot distress inks to ink up this panel and I used this K&C Halloween pattern paper, along with the Paper Temptress Mango card stock as well as Neenah Solar White.  I LOVE the Paper Temptress card stocks, so I think that will be the only card stock I’ll be using from now on 🙂  I then attached the whole panel to an A2 size card front and added some sequins to match the orange card stock.  I attached some velvet bat’s to give more interest to this card.  I also used my Signo white gel pen as well as glossy accents on the turtle and the shells.  I hope you like this card and if you do, please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Click the link below to participate in the Inky Paws Challenge, for a chance to win a prize! Also, check out Paper Temptress for all of these yummy card stocks ❤  Yay!  Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll catch you guys next time 🙂

Copic Coloring with Paper Temptress Cryogen White Iridescent Card Stock

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m doing some Copic Coloring on Cryogen Iridescent card stock from Paper Temptress.   I’ve heard some great things about this card stock so I was really excited to try it out.  It has a slight shimmer, not too over powering but very slightly.  I stamped out this La La land crafts Lil’ Devil Marci using MFT’s Hybrid licorice black ink, which is my favorite ink for Copic coloring.  I don’t know if you can tell by the pictures but the colors are super bright and shows the depth of this image, but also has a slight shimmer.  I feel that the ink stays on the top of the paper a little longer, making the blending really easy.  If you have trouble getting a smooth blend, this card stock is perfect.  I only recorded the coloring portion but I will make something with this image and I’ll share that with you later.  Paper Temptress offers variety of Copic friendly card stocks and it can be purchased individually as well as sets.  They carry Luxury card stocks, which are excellent quality, you will definitely fall in love with them as I have.  There are tons of different card stocks as well as Hambly screen prints, all types of vellum, textured card stocks, and more.  Go ahead and check out all the different types of card stocks she carries.  I hope you enjoyed this coloring video, showing how this card stocks behave with Copic markers.  I’ll list the colors I used below and please leave me a comment if you ‘d like to see more coloring videos like this.  Please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll catch you next time.  Thanks again!

Gerda Steiner Designs Brand New Stamp Monster Party and Paper Temptress Card Stock

IMG_8959

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a card using the Brand New Release of Gerda Steiner Designs Monster Party, Now Available for purchase in Gerda Steiner Designs Store.  I’m also using some of the Paper Temptress Card stocks, couple of my Favorite Vellum that the store carries.  I’ll have all the links to the supplies I used in the descriptions below.

I absolutely Love this new stamp set, it has the most cutest Monsters ever, which I’m sure you’ll agree.  I fell in love with this stamp set as soon as I saw them and I could not wait to start playing with them.  This week was not a good week for me, I am sick and I still am but I could not resist the temptation to make something with this so I made something very clean and simple.  I went ahead and used some of my Favorite vellums from Paper Temptress as well as her Crystal Mica Metallic card stocks.  I personally Love Vellum and I have a hard time finding patterned vellum so I’ll continue to use these vellums, until I use them all up, lol.  These vellums are not your ordinary vellum. They are textured but it’s also a Heavy duty vellum so your adhesive doesn’t even show up, unlike your ordinary vellum.  I LOVE them ❤

I cut 2 of the vellum piece, with a MFT’s stitched bubble die and stamped out the sentiment that says, Do I smell Cake?  I curved the sentiment slightly, so that it’ll line up with the thought bubble. I also stamped out the monster using MFT’s Hybrid black licorice ink on some Neenah solar white card stock.  I colored the monster with my Shinhan Touch Twin Alcohol markers and attached it onto some Crystal Mica Metallic card stock from Paper Temptress.  I hope you like this card and please check out the video for a full step by step tutorial.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Also, check out both Gerda Steiner Designs Blog as well as the Paper Temptress Blog for more inspirations from the Design Team.  I’ll leave the links below.  Thanks again

Virginia Turtle Stamp and Chameleon Markers

Aloha Guys!

Today i’m making a card using these adorable stamps from Virginia Turtle stamps.  This is a small husband and wife company and they have the most cutest stamps ever.  I’m using these sushi rolls today and I’m coloring them using the Chameleon markers.  Chameleon markers are unlike any other alcohol markers so I really wanted to try them out and I had an opportunity to try out these 5 set of markers.  They have 20 colors in all but each marker has it’s own mixing chamber what can infuse the markers so you can get multiple tones with just one marker.  After playing around with these for a while, I wanted to make a card and this stamp set was a perfect stamp set to try out these markers.  I colored each of the sushi rolls in all 5 colors and i hope you can see how these markers work.  I personally like these markers and I think it’s a very unique design.  I had a lot of fun making this card so I hope you enjoyed it.  Please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks again.  For all the supplies I used on this card can be found in the description below.  Thanks again

Digi’s For Debbie Fundraiser Blog Hop

IMG_8735

IMG_8737

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m participating in the Digi’s for Debbie Fundraiser Blog Hop along with some Fabulous designer at Though the Craft Room Door.  Recently, we learned that Mrs. Debbie Lynch, the beautiful and loving mother of Heather Dennis, owner of Fresh Brewed Designs, was diagnosed with a rare form of uterine cancer. As most of you may know, cancer related medical costs can be quite expensive, and Mrs. Debbie currently has no medical insurance, which makes the cost significantly higher. Therefore, we have decided to help raise enough money to cover these medical expenses, as well as aftercare expenses, by creating a digi shop. All the proceeds of the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop and the Fresh Brewed Designs Store will go directly to Mrs. Debbie to fund her lifesaving surgery and the aftercare necessary to bring her back to wellness. Furthermore, Heather has created a Give Forward account to assist her mother. If you would like to help, please stop by the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop, the Fresh Brewed Designs Store, and/or the Give Forward Account. For those of you who are not able to contribute monetarily, we would love for you to add Mrs. Debbie to your prayer list. If there is one thing we know, prayers can work miracles that money cannot and healing and wellness is what we are praying to receive.

The hop launches today, Tuesday, July 14th on the Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge Blog, and will run until Tuesday, July 28th @ 11:59 PM Eastern Time. All participants can be found in the linkies section of *this post on the Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge Blog, and we would love to have you join us! We do ask that you use a digi from the Digis for Debbie Fundraiser Shop or the Fresh Brewed Designs Store, and the theme is Anything Goes, and you can enter as often as you would like. Two prize packages will be awarded, one prize for a digi purchaser and one prize for a blog hop participant. Winners will be chosen on Saturday, August 1st. The prizes will consist of stamps, papers, ribbon, embellishments, etc.; plus, some random prizes will be offered by some generous blog hop participants along the hop.

Thank you for dropping by and for helping us with our fundraising efforts; and again, we ask that you keep Mrs. Debbie in your prayers. Have a wonderful Tuesday, crafty friends! We look forward to admiring your creations! 🙂

CAS Card Using Bird Crazy and Copic Markers-Tupelo Designs LLC

IMG_8696

IMG_8698

IMG_8697

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a very Clean and Simple DT Card for Tupelo Designs LLC using this Bird Crazy stamp set and some Copic Markers.  I’m Super excited to share with you guys that Tupelo Designs LLC is now carrying Copic markers!! Yay!!  I decided to make this card really simple because I wanted to go over some things regarding Copic Markers.  You can get a full step by step on how I made this card by watching the video link up above.

I wanted to go over some general information regarding these markers that might be handy to know.  First off, you can keep track of your copic markers by downloading a Free Color chart from copicmarker.com and I’ll leave a link below or you can even purchase this Hex Chart from Sandy Allnock’s website for several dollars, which is a handy tool as well.  She designed this chart to help us have an easier time finding the right color combinations that go well together and I think this chart is very helpful.  The copic markers have a different numbering system that you should know in order to choose the right combinations.  You can also get more detail information in this on the copic website as well.

These markers are alcohol base markers and with alcohol based markers, it’s very important to use the right ink that’s compatible with alcohol markers.  The most popular ink pad to use with these are Momento Tuxedo black ink or My Favorite Things Hybrid Licorice Black ink.  My personal favorite is the My favorite things Hybrid ink but it’s personal preference.  Choosing the right paper also makes a huge difference on how they blend.  It’s best to use a specialty card stock such as Neenah Solar White or  Spectrum Noir card stock just to name a few.  These card stocks have a slick surface, which will help with the markers to sit on top of the paper longer for a better blend.

For todays card, I decided to use this Bird Crazy stamp set from stampers anonymous.  I think these birds have the funniest expressions and each bird has their own personality which I love.  I stamped it out using My favorite things black licorice hybrid ink on Neenah solar white card stock and chose out several colors to color the birds.  I made this bird very colorful since this was a very simple card.  I found this very funny sentiment to go along with these birds from the Dylusions stamp set from my stash.  To see a full step by step on how I made this card, please watch the video up above or head on over to my youtube channel.  For all the supplies I used on this card will be in the description below. I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  I’m super excited that Tupelo Designs LLC is carrying copic markers and I’ll be sharing more products using these markers in the future.  Thank you so much and I hope to see you back next time.

Coloring Hibiscus with Spectrum Noirs and Some Tips-Tupelo Designs LLC

IMG_8641

IMG_8643

IMG_8642

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a DT card for Tupelo Designs LLC using the Hibiscus stamp set from Designs by Ryn.  I’ll be using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and I’ll quickly go over some tips on using your bare rubber stamps without mounting it on Cling foam.  If you are interested in mounting your stamps on the cling foam, I’ll leave a link below where Jane shows the entire process.

These stamps Designs by Ryn are such a high quality red rubber stamps.  They are very deeply etched and detailed, so you won’t have any issues with getting a good crisp image.  I personally like to use a Rock-A-Block when I’m stamping bare rubber stamps.  That’s just my preference and you can play around with different types of block.  There’s a slight learning curve to it but once you get use to them, they are great.

I’ll be coloring most of my flowers off camera but I will share several petals and go over some things.  These flowers took over and hour to color, and I don’t think you want to watch me color for an hour.  You can go ahead and check out the video above for the whole process as well as some tips for using your bare rubber stamps.

I’m trying out couple different tools that I’ve never used before. I show it very briefly since the video was fast forwarded 4x.  One is the Blending tool that Mike, owner of Tupelo Designs LLC actually makes, and the other being the Teflon Bone Folder.  I’ll share more footage of using this tool in another video but I just gotta say, they are fantastic tools.  The blending tool is perfectly shaped so I can grab it very easily and makes blending much easier.  I have wrist problems so this tool is perfect for my hands.  The other tool that i’m fascinated by is the Teflon Bone folder.  I’ve seen others use it, and it was highly recommended by tons of people and now I know the reason why.  They give a really crisp scor and when you burnish the fold, there is no shinny residue.  It also feels good in my hands as well.  I’m super excited about these New tools for me, I’ll share more about it later on.  I hope you like this card and tips I gave was useful.  Please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you guys next time.

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a card for Gerda Steiner Designs using this Little Fairy Digital image.  She is super cute so I just had to use her.  I printed her out on Neenah Solar 80lb card stock and fussy cut her out.  I’ll be coloring her using my Shinhantouch Brush Alcohol markers.  I pre-made the background using the Ken Oliver Color bursts and I’ll leave a link below where I demonstrate the color burst if you’re interested.  It’s a real fun item to play with.  After coloring the fairy, I sponged the rest of the background with Chipped Saphire distress ink and assembled everything together.  I do have a full tutorial on how I made this card up above if you want to take a look.  I hope you like this card and all the supplies I used will be linked below.  I want to thank you guys for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspiration and ideas.  Mahalo
