Today I’m making a DT card for Tupelo Designs LLC.  I’ll be using the new Altenew stamp set called Wild Hibiscus and I’ll be doing some Ink Smooshing using distress inks.  I’ve been seeing many people do this smooching technique and I wanted to try it out myself.  I also used the Ranger Liquid platinum embossing powder, I think it gives a real elegant look.  I chose out 3 distress inks, Mustard seed, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserves and used a acetate to do the smooching.  I really like this technique and I’m sure I’ll be doing this more often.  I hope you guys enjoyed this and please watch the video for a full step by step.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks so much 🙂
Today I’m bringing you something a little different. Â I made My First art journal page video!! Â I was doing some art journals on the side, playing around with different mediums, doing some doodling, watercoloring and things and I finally decided to make one on Film. Â This was a big jump for me and something completely different than my normal card making. Â What better way to start by Dedicating this page to my 2 daughters that had their Birthdays in March. Â My oldest daughter turned 21 and my youngest daughter turned 5. Â Those are the numbers you see on the balloons.
I cut out the Balloons and also used 2 cupcakes as my Focal points and I just started the process from there. Â Once I decided on my focal images, it was pretty easy from there. Â Unlike card making, I didn’t have to worry about the recipient liking the card I made for them so this was more on the Freestyle. Â It was so much fun making it that I think I want to make another one already, lol. Â By the way, this art journal style was highly inspired by Vicky from Clipncuts. Â I’m sure you guys have seen her Amazing work and I’ll leave a link below to her channel below if you want to check it out. Â She does Stunning work and I learned a lot from her in both card making and Art journals.
I feel that my art journals are more geared towards card maker style. Â What I mean by that is, because I make a lot of cards, my art journals are more on the same level. Â I will definitely be making more art journals in the future so stay tuned. Â Some of the items I used on this journal is from Tupelo Designs LLC and I will have a supplies listed below. Â Thank you so much for visiting my site and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas. Â Much Mahalo:)
Today I’m sharing my First DT project fur TupeloDesignsLLC. I’m very excited for this opportunity and you’ll see a lot of projects for them in the future:)
Today I’m doing some Watercoloring using Koi Pocket Field Sketch Box with 24 colors. If you’ve been watching any watercolor tutorials on YouTube for cards, you probably have seen this watercolor set being used a lot. This watercolor set has a Very Intense pigment so it’s very easy to achieve colors on images fast. It’s conveniently packages with a water-brush for those on the go. I’m also using the Stampendous Large Butterflies Trio set and I’m using the largest one. I embossed it using Versamark with Hero Arts White embossing powder onto Tim Holtz Watercolor paper. Which is conveniently cut to a card size and I used my favorite Milwaukee heat gun to melt the powder. For the Watercolored butterflies, I worked on it section by section. I drop some clean water onto where I’m coloring and just dropped in the paint and let the water do all the coloring for me. The colors will only travel Only where the water is. I blended the Blue and the Purple which I think is a perfect combination. I then Splattered some paints using the same colors to give a unified look. For a Full Tutorial on how I made this card, please check out my YouTube channel, which will be listed below. I’ll also leave a supply lust below for your convenience. They also have FREE Shipping on purchases of $65 and over and they also have flat rates shippings depending on the amount you spend. They now have A Loyalty Program where you can accumulate points to spend on your next purchases. Joining is FREE and when you first join, you’ll automatically get 500 points and after that you get 2 point for each dollar you spend. I think that’s Awesome!! I also made a small pocket to fill it with tags and highlighted words that represents valentines. I hope you enjoyed this card and if you have any questions, please leave a comment and I’ll respond.
