Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making some cards for Tupelo Designs LLC.  With the Holiday’s approaching, I’ll be making many sets of Cards so that I can give them as gifts.  You’ll be seeing many more of these, that’s for sure.  I decide to make a set of 4 and I made my own background paper using the Penny Black’s Blips background stamp with Rangers Dye inks.  Rangers Dye inks are very bright and I love the colors they offer.  I thought it would be fun to make different color backgrounds with the same stamped image.  When you are mass producing cards, it’s easier to do it in assembly style.  I first prepared all the card stocks that I’ll be using: 4 card bases (110lb Neenah), 4 black mats, 4 background paper, etc….

I’m using the Wplus9 stamp set, Wishing you and I chose out the 2 bunnies that has the back toward us. I stamped out 4 of them in a 2 1/2″ circle and colored them using my Copic Markers.  This is going to be very clean and simple.  It’s best to keep it that way, so that you can create these cards pretty fast.  I then assembled everything together.  I did not put a sentiment to these cards, because I like to add them later, depending on who I’m giving these too.  You can also stamp multiple sentiments on a separate piece and give them together.  Then they can choose which sentiment they want to use, and just attach it to the card.  I hope you like this clean and simple card set and I thank you guys so much for stopping by.  Be sure to subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  All the supplies I used will be located below, if you’re interested in any of the supplies I used today.  Thanks again and I’ll catch you guys next time.

Aloha Guys!

Today I have 2 cards for you, using the new Hippo in Disguise stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs.  I absolutely adore this Hippo, he’s super cute.  I colored him in many different mediums, which I show in the video.  I wasn’t planning on making 2 cards but it just came together.  The first one is colored with Copic markers on Cryogen White card stock from PaperTemptress.  I’ve used this card stock before, showing how nicely the marker blends.  If feels like the marker glides on top of the paper, making blending really easy.  It also has a slight shimmer, which is nice also.  If you have a hard time blending with Copic markers, you should definitely try these out.  It makes blending a whole lot easier.

This stamp set is really awesome because you can dress up the Hippo in different ways, which I think it’s super fun.  He can be a Super Hippo or a Vampire Hippo.  I’ve made both and I colored using Spectrum markers, Prismacolor pencils, Watercolor…I wanted to show you different options for coloring incase you didn’t have Copic markers.

The card stock I placed behind the Hippos are Eggplant Feltweave and Lambwood Feltweave.  These card stocks are very heavy weight and has a really nice texture to it.  I love these colors too, they go great together.  I’m also using the 110lb Neenah card stock as my base.  You can find them at Papertemptress, as well as Tupelo Designs LLC.  I recently got some more in bulk, because I ran out.  I enjoy using this Heavy weight card stock.

The second card was watercolored, using my Akashiya watercolor markers.  I really love how this turned out.  I found this panel, which was made from Brusho’s when I was playing with them the other day and it seemed like the perfect background for the Watercolored hippo.   I don’t show the watercoloring portion but let me know if you guys like to see me use the Akashiya markers again.  I hope you liked these cards and let me know in the comment, which one you like better.  All the supplies I used will be listed below if you were interested in any of the items.  Thank you so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks again 🙂

IMG_9040

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a card for Tupelo Designs LLC and I’ll be doing some Masking techniques using different products.  The stamp set I’ll be using is this super adorable ghosts from Lawn Fawn, Booyah set and the starry backdrop set.  First I stamped out the ghosts in MFT’s Black hybrid licorice ink and colored them using my Copic markers.  I then applied the Triple Thick brush on gloss on the ghosts using a paint brush.  I loved the fact that it covered the area super quickly.  I let it dry completely, so that it’ll resist any inking or embossing I’ll be doing on top.  I needed my masking paper to mask the ghosts so I can create a moon behind the ghosts.  I could not find my Inkadinkado masking paper that I normally use for all my masking anywhere. I remembered that I saw someone using contact paper, Shelf liner as a masking paper so I decided to try it out with some left over shelf liner I had.  To my surprise, it worked beautifully.  I was super happy that it worked.  I cut out a circle and placed it over the ghost and stamped out the starry backdrop using versamark, embossed it using White embossing powder.  I wanted to create a night sky, so I covered the whole area using Chipped sapphire and black soot.  After making my night sky, I peeled off the shelf liner to reveal the circle, which will be my moon.  I used Fossilized amber distress ink to color in my moon. The Ghosts will resist the ink because it has been covered with the Triple thick, which is very similar to glossy accents.  I stamped out the sentiment on a black card stock with the same white embossing powder and attached it to the bottom of the night sky.  I hope you like this card and found this video helpful for different masking techniques.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks again.  Please visit the store for all the supplies I used on this card.

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m doing some Copic Coloring on Cryogen Iridescent card stock from Paper Temptress.   I’ve heard some great things about this card stock so I was really excited to try it out.  It has a slight shimmer, not too over powering but very slightly.  I stamped out this La La land crafts Lil’ Devil Marci using MFT’s Hybrid licorice black ink, which is my favorite ink for Copic coloring.  I don’t know if you can tell by the pictures but the colors are super bright and shows the depth of this image, but also has a slight shimmer.  I feel that the ink stays on the top of the paper a little longer, making the blending really easy.  If you have trouble getting a smooth blend, this card stock is perfect.  I only recorded the coloring portion but I will make something with this image and I’ll share that with you later.  Paper Temptress offers variety of Copic friendly card stocks and it can be purchased individually as well as sets.  They carry Luxury card stocks, which are excellent quality, you will definitely fall in love with them as I have.  There are tons of different card stocks as well as Hambly screen prints, all types of vellum, textured card stocks, and more.  Go ahead and check out all the different types of card stocks she carries.  I hope you enjoyed this coloring video, showing how this card stocks behave with Copic markers.  I’ll list the colors I used below and please leave me a comment if you ‘d like to see more coloring videos like this.  Please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll catch you next time.  Thanks again!

Gelatos Background and Quick Copic Coloring Tupelo Deisgns LLC

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a DT card for Tupelo Designs LLC.  The stamp set I’ll be using is MFT’s I Knead You stamp set, which consists of kittens/cat images and accessories to go along with it.  This stamp set is really good because you get a a lot of stamps for your money, which is a plus.  I’m also using some Gold and Silver Gelatos to make my own shimmery background.  I purchased the Metallic 15 piece set from them not too while back and since then I’ve only used them once so I decided to use them to make my background.  I already had some collections which I purchased long ago so these gelatos last very long and they have released different sets, which will make collecting easier.  I dry embossed a card stock using one of the embossing folders I had.  I then applied the gelatos on the embossed paper, which will only get color on the embossed/raised area, but I wanted more of a blended look, I blended it out using some semi-dried baby wipe.  These gelatos are water soluable so you can easily watercolor using them.

I cut out a circle, using the MFT’s stitched circle die and stamped out my kitty of my choice onto this Neenah solar white card stock.  I then did some simple Copic coloring and assembled the card together.  For a full step by step, please check out the video which is located up above.  I hope you like this card and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks so much 🙂

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making this Thank Ewe card using Gerda Steiner Designs Brand New stamp set called How Are Ewe.  I love all the adorable images that this stamp set has to offer and super cute sentiments to go along with it, making this perfect for all types of occasions.  I created a simple scenery for my sheep and colored it using my copic markers.  I tried to make little curls for the sheeps fur to make it look a little more realistic.  I think it adds some texture to it and I like the way it turned out.  For a full step by step process, you can watch the video link up above.  You can also visit Gerda Steiner Designs Blog to see all the cards that the DT has made, and I’ll leave the link below.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and I hope to catch you next time.  Thank you so much 🙂

Aloha Guys!

Happy Monday, and it’s time for a DT Card for Tupelo Designs LLC.   Stamps set I’ll be using is the Wplus9 Flora Fauna 1 along with my Copic markers.  I’ve mentioned before that Tupelo Designs LC is now carrying Copic markers so I’m super excited!!  I went ahead and stamped out this dogwood flower onto my Neenah Solar White using My favorite things Hybrid licorice black ink.  You can use this ink for alcohol markers and watercolor so it’s a great ink pad to have.  Wplus9 is one of the New collections they are carrying but they are constantly adding more brands all the time.

I made this card simple but I think, the flower really pops and I really like that.  I have a full tutorial up above if you want to see the whole process.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe an follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks again.  Mahalo 🙂

CAS Card Using Bird Crazy and Copic Markers-Tupelo Designs LLC

IMG_8696

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a very Clean and Simple DT Card for Tupelo Designs LLC using this Bird Crazy stamp set and some Copic Markers.  I’m Super excited to share with you guys that Tupelo Designs LLC is now carrying Copic markers!! Yay!!  I decided to make this card really simple because I wanted to go over some things regarding Copic Markers.  You can get a full step by step on how I made this card by watching the video link up above.

I wanted to go over some general information regarding these markers that might be handy to know.  First off, you can keep track of your copic markers by downloading a Free Color chart from copicmarker.com and I’ll leave a link below or you can even purchase this Hex Chart from Sandy Allnock’s website for several dollars, which is a handy tool as well.  She designed this chart to help us have an easier time finding the right color combinations that go well together and I think this chart is very helpful.  The copic markers have a different numbering system that you should know in order to choose the right combinations.  You can also get more detail information in this on the copic website as well.

These markers are alcohol base markers and with alcohol based markers, it’s very important to use the right ink that’s compatible with alcohol markers.  The most popular ink pad to use with these are Momento Tuxedo black ink or My Favorite Things Hybrid Licorice Black ink.  My personal favorite is the My favorite things Hybrid ink but it’s personal preference.  Choosing the right paper also makes a huge difference on how they blend.  It’s best to use a specialty card stock such as Neenah Solar White or  Spectrum Noir card stock just to name a few.  These card stocks have a slick surface, which will help with the markers to sit on top of the paper longer for a better blend.

For todays card, I decided to use this Bird Crazy stamp set from stampers anonymous.  I think these birds have the funniest expressions and each bird has their own personality which I love.  I stamped it out using My favorite things black licorice hybrid ink on Neenah solar white card stock and chose out several colors to color the birds.  I made this bird very colorful since this was a very simple card.  I found this very funny sentiment to go along with these birds from the Dylusions stamp set from my stash.  To see a full step by step on how I made this card, please watch the video up above or head on over to my youtube channel.  For all the supplies I used on this card will be in the description below. I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  I’m super excited that Tupelo Designs LLC is carrying copic markers and I’ll be sharing more products using these markers in the future.  Thank you so much and I hope to see you back next time.

Gerda Steiner Designs Heavy Friends Card

FullSizeRender 3

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a card for Gerda Steiner Designs using the Heavy friends stamp set.  I’ve used this set quite often because I just adore these critters but I never used the Rhinasorous yet so I’ll be using him today for my card.  I cut out 5 frames using the MFT’s rectangle die and glued them all together to create a frame for my focal image.  I then cut another, same size as the frame to create a scenery for my focal image.  I used the Obsessions Impressions Clouds background stamp along with Tumble glass distress ink to create my scene.  Then I stamped out the Rhinasorous in Momento Tuxedo black ink and colored him using my Copic markers.  I put everything together to create this card.  For a complete process of this card, please watch the video above.  I’ll leave all the supplies I used for today’s card in the description below.  I hope you enjoyed this card and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas,  Thank you so much visiting and have a wonderful day 😀
