Tombow Recycled Colored Pencil share

Aloha Guys!

Today I wanted to quickly share these New Tombow Recycled color pencils that Tupelo Designs LLC carries.  They now carry many brands of colored pencils such as Spectrum Noir, Prismacolor Premier, Julie Netting, Tombow Recycled color pencil…etc.  I’ve shared the other color pencils in many of my other videos but since these are New and I’ve never shared them, I’d thought I’d quickly share them today.  More options for you to choose from.  I used these New Stampendous Jumbo stamp set to demonstrate how these colors blend and to my surprise, I was extremely impressed.  I’ve had these pencils in my stash but I’ve never used them so I’m actually trying them out with you guys for the first time.  They carry 2 different sets, a 12 set and these 24 set.  For these specific line of pencils, 24 is the full set.  What makes these pencils different than other pencils is that it’s made out of Recycled Re-porposed trees, so very environmental.  These are wax-based pencils made with Cedar wood and it’s a little denser than the soft cored Prismacolor premier pencils but they actually feel just as buttery as the Prismacolor pencils.  They are Highly pigmented and an Artist quality but the price point on these pencils are pretty awesome!

I’m really not doing a full coloring tutorial but enough for you to see how easily they blend.  Both Prismacolor pencils and the Spectrum Noir pencils are very high quality pencils but this is just another option you have.  I really loved the consistency of these pencils and they don’t give a wax-bloom like some of the other wax based pencils.  I hope you found this video helpful and hope you enjoy watching how these work.

I really appreciate all your wonderful support and if you have questions regarding a product or would like to see a Demo, please leave me a comment and I’ll try my best to get to them as soon as I can.  Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you back soon.  Thanks again 🙂

How to make Distress ink Permanent-Scrapbook Layout

IMG_0055

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m here with Tupelo Designs LLC and I have a Scrapbook layout for you.  I kind of made it into a mixed media layout.  It didn’t start out that way but I really love how it turned out.  Scrapbooking in general has come a long way and there are multiple of ways people are keeping their memories.  There’s a regular layout, digital layout, project life, pocket books, mixed media….etc.  It really depends on you and your way of doing things.  I still make traditional double spread of layouts as well as some project life style.  I think mixed media layouts are also fun because you can play with all of your mixed media mediums.

Generally when I create layers for mixed media, I like to start off with a permanent medium.  Meaning, I start with mediums that I can layer over without disturbing the bottom layer.  As you all know, Distress line is very reactive with water besides their distress paints.  That’s what makes their products so unique but that can also be a bit challenging when layering a lot of different mediums.  In the last release, they brought out this fantastic new glaze that’ll made any distress line waterproof.  Awesome, right?  I don’t think I shared this product so that’s what I decided to do.  I totally changed my mind in the middle of this layout and came up with something that was totally different than my original design.

I started with my paper prepping using tissue paper to create some added texture and put gesso  on the entire surface to mute down my pattern paper.  I then chose 4 distress stains and sprayed at the top of the page, creating some fun drips.  I actually added some distress glaze on top of the sprays once it was dried and you’ll see a slight shine, from the glaze when I tilt it in the light.  Another one of my favorite technique is mixing my matte gel medium with the distress inks.  That will create a colored gel medium, which will remain permanent once it’s dried.  I’ve added some additional textures to finish off my page.  I kept it pretty simple yet colorful 🙂  All the mediums I used today are Faber-Castell Design Memory Crafts line and they are one of my favorites.   I hope you liked this video and please share, subscribe and like for more tutorials like this.  I thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you back soon 🙂

Please visit http://www.tupelodesignsllc.com for all the supplies used.

Also, please join us for our FB challenges we’ll be having on TDLLC’s FB pages for a chance to win some fabulous Prizes.  I’ll leave the links below, I hope to see you there 🙂

Aloha Guys!

Today I have an Exciting Announcement to share with you all!!  Are you ready??  I was extremely thankful and honored to be asked to be The Product Representative for Tupelo Designs LLC.  This is truly Amazing and I am forever grateful for this opportunity!!  What does this mean??  I’ll be able to share more products and share more techniques using products from TDLLC.  If you are a follower of Tupelo Designs LLC, most of you are very familiar with Jane (velocityvett08).  Mike and Jane started Tupelo Designs LLC 1 Year ago, and Jane shared new products that’s available in the store as well as demonstrating how to use the products.  Her work is Brilliant and I truly admire her work!!

Now, the New proud owner of Tupelo Designs LLC is Daniel Singh and he has embraced Mike and Jane’s customer service style and continues to bring excitement to the store, which is truly Amazing!!  Don’t worry, Mike and Jane is still involved with the store, just in a different capacity!!  They help out with the store as much as they can and enjoy spending their time together 🙂

So now on to my role, lol 🙂  I’ll basically be taking over the roll that Jane use to do.  Sharing New products and/or demonstrating different techniques using a product…etc!!  Of course, no one can fill Jane’s spot, but my job will be to share and inspire, just as she use to do 🙂    Majority of the products will be provided for me, but not all (as you all know, I love to shop, lol).  I will definitely be able to share a lot more, that’s for sure!!  You’ll be seeing multiple projects a week, whether I’m sharing a product or sharing a technique!  I’ll also be incorporating Mixed media, Art journals, Scrapbook layouts, Mini albums, Altered projects….etc along with my card making.

FYI: I am NOT a professional Artist or a Mixed media Artist!!  I just want to share with you, what I know and what I love.  That’s basically it!!

If you have questions on a specific product or would like to see a particular project, please leave me a comment and I’ll try my best fulfill the request.  It might not be right away, but I always try my best to answer or share the requested project.

I hope this answers some of the questions regarding my new role for Tupelo Designs LLC and I look forward to seeing you back real soon 🙂

If you have been following CHA 2016, there are some amazing products being released this year and I can’t wait to get my hands on them!!  Yay!!  Which brings me to today’s project.  Dylusions Paints!!  She released 6 New yummy colors, so I’d thought I’d play with the colors I have to make this simple card today.  I hope you enjoy this card and I’ll see you back real soon 🙂  Thank you so much for stopping by and please check out the store for all the Promotions going on in the month of January, to Celebrate the 1 Year Anniversary for TDLLC!!  Thanks so much 🙂

Aloha Guys!
Today I have an Altered Dictionary cover for you. I’ll be doing some journaling on this book, so I wanted to decorate it. This is a super old dictionary, about 2x my age, lol. I had to take the binding off and re-attach it with reinforcement, since it was basically falling apart. Since I haven’t altered anything in a long time, it took me twice as long to finish it, lol. I don’t have a full step by step for this, for that reason. It took me about 4 days to finish it. You’ll definitely be seeing more of this so don’t worry. Next time, I’ll film the entire process. I really liked the way it turned out and I hope you like it too. Let me know in the comments if you’d like to see more. Thanks so much and have a great day 🙂

Aloha Guys!

I hope everyone had a Fantastic Christmas!  Now that Christmas is over, I need to make a whole lot of Thank you cards.  I want to start out with these cards, made with the Altenew Painted butterflies.  These layering type of stamps are fabulous for mass producing cards and yet still have a wow effect 🙂  If you don’t have any of these stamp sets, I highly suggest you get some.  They are lifesavers for me, lol.  I’ve used both Ombre inks from Hero Arts as well as some distress inks to create these cards.  You can mix and match different brands to create the look you desire.  I hope you enjoy this and I thank you so much for stopping by, I really appreciate it 🙂  Thanks again!

Vintage Roses Card Set using Altenew Crisp Ink Pads-Tupelo Designs LLC

IMG_9725

IMG_9727

IMG_9726.JPG

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making some last minute Christmas gifts. Even though I’m making Christmas gifts, I like making general cards for the recipient to use all year long. In my opinion, the fastest way to mass produce beautiful card sets, is to use layering stamps.  I’ve decided to use the Altenew’s Vintage roses stamp set along with the crisp inks.  I love these inks, they give a very crisp image which I like.  I have the mini set for space issues, but if I had more room, I’d get the regular size.

For sentiments for my card sets, I don’t like to put the sentiment on the actual card but instead I stamp it separately  and put it wit the card sets.  This way, the recipient can choose which sentiment they’d like to use.

I hope you like this video and found it helpful. Please press like button and  hit that subscribe button, I ‘d really appreciate it. Thanks again.
