Today I’m making a card for Tupelo Designs LLC. I decided to use the Spectrum Noir Color pencils on Kraft Card stock using Your Next Stamps stamp called Perfect Chemistry. I really love Your Next Stamp’s stamps, they carry variety of stamps for all your stamping needs. What I love about their stamps the most, is their clever sentiments. Today I decided to do some coloring using the Spectrum Noir’s color pencils on Kraft card stock. Spectrum Noir carries 5 different sets of pencils, each having 24 pencils inside. The sets come in Primary, Essentials, Nature, Marine, and Floral. Tupelo Designs LLC carries all 5 sets. I’m only using the Primary set today to color the light bulb from the Perfect Chemistry set. I used the White Unicorn pigment ink to stamp the images and colored only the center light bulb. I really like color pencils on Kraft and I really like the way this card turned out. Today I’m making a DT card for Tupelo Designs LLC using the Hibiscus stamp set from Designs by Ryn. I’ll be using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and I’ll quickly go over some tips on using your bare rubber stamps without mounting it on Cling foam. If you are interested in mounting your stamps on the cling foam, I’ll leave a link below where Jane shows the entire process.
These stamps Designs by Ryn are such a high quality red rubber stamps. They are very deeply etched and detailed, so you won’t have any issues with getting a good crisp image. I personally like to use a Rock-A-Block when I’m stamping bare rubber stamps. That’s just my preference and you can play around with different types of block. There’s a slight learning curve to it but once you get use to them, they are great.
I’ll be coloring most of my flowers off camera but I will share several petals and go over some things. These flowers took over and hour to color, and I don’t think you want to watch me color for an hour. You can go ahead and check out the video above for the whole process as well as some tips for using your bare rubber stamps.
I’m trying out couple different tools that I’ve never used before. I show it very briefly since the video was fast forwarded 4x. One is the Blending tool that Mike, owner of Tupelo Designs LLC actually makes, and the other being the Teflon Bone Folder. I’ll share more footage of using this tool in another video but I just gotta say, they are fantastic tools. The blending tool is perfectly shaped so I can grab it very easily and makes blending much easier. I have wrist problems so this tool is perfect for my hands. The other tool that i’m fascinated by is the Teflon Bone folder. I’ve seen others use it, and it was highly recommended by tons of people and now I know the reason why. They give a really crisp scor and when you burnish the fold, there is no shinny residue. It also feels good in my hands as well. Today I’m super excited to play with this stamp from Your Next Stamp. This stamp set is called Quirky Animal Set Five and it has this adorable dancing butterfly along with this sentiment that says “You make me do the Happy Dance!” How cute is that. I Love this sentiment so I wanted to use it with the butterfly. These are actually my First set of stamps from them and they are super high quality photopolymer stamps and they have really unique whimsical designs. I have one more set of stamps to share with you real soon, which is just as adorable as this one. I had so much fun coloring the butterfly with Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers and I added some Music note die cut piece to embellish the card at the end. I printed him out on Neenah Solar White card stock and I used the Specturm Noir markers to color him in. I added some design paper and cut some things out using different dies. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and also enjoyed the Black Friday deals from all over, I know I did. This Haul is not a Black Friday Haul, this is just a quick Haul I got just recently. I recently signed up for the Simon Says Stamp monthly Kit so I received my first kit. I also grabbed some of their other goodies along with the kit. I finally got the Spectrum Noir Marine set of their colored pencils so now I have the complete set which I’m really excited about. I hope you enjoy this short video and I’ll soon be doing my Black Friday Haul when everything arrives. I ordered things from all over so I only did internet shopping!
