Aloha!

Today I am shaing a Photo transfer I did on a Canvas using various products from Faber Castell Design Memory Craft®.  I’ve created this in December for Faber Castell Design Memory Craft® and only now I’m sharing this since it needed to be on their blog first, before sharing it with you all 🙂

This was my first time doing a photo transfer onto a canvas and I didn’t do a test run before making this so I’m not even sure if it’s suppose to even look like this, lol

As you can see in the video, I printed the photo on a regular copy paper, laid it down and put gel medium on top of the picture.  Once it was completely dried, I sprayed the entire photo with water and started to peel the paper away, very gently.  I then used various products from Faber Castell Design Memory Craft®’s line to decorate this canvas.  I had a lot of fun doing it and I plan on doing more mixed media this year.  I hope you enjoy this video and if you have tips on getting a better transfer, please leave me a comment so that I can learn from you.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you next time 🙂

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m sharing this card using Gerda Steiner Designs Deck the Halls stamp along with some Neenah Classic Linen card stocks to do some watercoloring with Gelatos®.  I’ll be starting a New Gelatos® For Card Makers Series, sharing different ways you can incorporate Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Mix & Match line of products in our card making.  I’m starting this series because I’ve heard many people mention, Gelatos® as a Mixed media medium. Gelatos® are such versatile medium that can be used for both mixed media and card making.  It’s a fantastic medium and it’s very easy to work with.  Hopefully I can share some techniques with different products, to showcase the versatility of them.  I’m starting out with my very first Christmas card for 2015.  Yeah, I’m a little behind so I better get started, lol.

I’m using this super adorable stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs and I’ll share some tips and techniques on how we can watercolor using a various colors from the Gelatos® line.  I’m using these Neenah Classic linen card stocks to do some blending with or without water.  These classic linen card stocks are fantastic with watercolors.  They are not a watercolor card stocks but they work fabulous with watercoloring and I highly recommend trying them out.  I am definitely in Love.  They have these great textures to these card stocks and the texture really shows through, even with a coloring medium on top.  You’ll definitely see the texture through it as we start the application of colors.  i’m using a very traditional Christmas colors and I’ll share some tips on how you can get the Glowing Christmas light look, with watercoloring.  I’ll put all the links to the supplies I used below, if you want to try out any of these products.  Tupelo Designs LLC has various Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Mix & Match line of products so you can easily find them there as well as DesignMemoryCrafts.com.  I hope you guys enjoy this series and please leave me a comment, if you like to see a particular products in use.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please Subscribe, Like and Comment.  I’d love to hear your Feedbacks 🙂  Thanks again.

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m sharing this journal page I made using one of the Prima stamp set that I had.  I’ve been wanting to use her for a while.  I also used Brusho crystal watercolor powder to color her hair.  I wanted the bloom it creates when, it’s sprayed wit water.  I kind of over did it I think, so at the end, it looks a little blurry to me.  I also wanted to use the vintage bags that Tupelo Designs LLC, packages their order in.  It’s a gorgeous vintage bag, which I thought it was perfect in the background.  I’ve added some Double Scoop Gelatos and blended it with my finger.  I also used some copper and gold sprays I had in my stash.  You can view the video for the complete process of this page.  It didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted it to, but I think it’s okay.  After all, I’m still learning and I had a lot of fun making this page.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks again.  I tried my best to put the supply list below but some supplies are missing…sorry.

Please follow me on my Social Media 🙂

Gelatos Background and Quick Copic Coloring Tupelo Deisgns LLC

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a DT card for Tupelo Designs LLC.  The stamp set I’ll be using is MFT’s I Knead You stamp set, which consists of kittens/cat images and accessories to go along with it.  This stamp set is really good because you get a a lot of stamps for your money, which is a plus.  I’m also using some Gold and Silver Gelatos to make my own shimmery background.  I purchased the Metallic 15 piece set from them not too while back and since then I’ve only used them once so I decided to use them to make my background.  I already had some collections which I purchased long ago so these gelatos last very long and they have released different sets, which will make collecting easier.  I dry embossed a card stock using one of the embossing folders I had.  I then applied the gelatos on the embossed paper, which will only get color on the embossed/raised area, but I wanted more of a blended look, I blended it out using some semi-dried baby wipe.  These gelatos are water soluable so you can easily watercolor using them.

I cut out a circle, using the MFT’s stitched circle die and stamped out my kitty of my choice onto this Neenah solar white card stock.  I then did some simple Copic coloring and assembled the card together.  For a full step by step, please check out the video which is located up above.  I hope you like this card and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks so much 🙂

Altenew Sketchy Rose and Gelatos Tupelo Designs LLC

Rose 1

Rose 2

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a DT Card for Tupelo Designs LLC using the Altenew Sketchy Rose and Metallic Gelatos.  With Mother’s Day right around the corner, I thought I would make a Mother’s Day card using this Large Rose.  Really Beautiful!  I’m using the Tim Holtz watercolor paper, which I cut using the Lawn Fawn’s Large Rectangle die and stamped out the stem of the rose using the MFT’s Hybrid Black Ink with Fiskars stamp press.  I stamped out the rose 2 times and fussy cut them out so that I can layer the roses.  I’ve been really excited about using the Metallic Gelatos so I decided to see if I can watercolor with it, and I think it turned out Beautiful!!.  The picture doesn’t show the shimmer but in real life, the rose is very shimmery and beautiful.  After coloring the stem and the rose with the Gelatos, I also used the cracked pistachio and abandon coral to darken up some areas to add some depth.  I also distressed the edges of the stitch rectangle using Vintage photo distress ink pad.  I chose out one paper from the Prima Butterfly 6×6 paper pad and cut it to fit the entire front of my A2 size card.  I used Tim Holtz distress tool to make it look more shabby chic and distressed the edges with Vintage photo ink pad as well.  I layered the roses together and adhered it to the stem.  I added some pearls for the finishing touch and used Signo white gel pen to add some stitching around the Design paper.  I have a Full tutorial on how I made this card if you want to check it out.  All the supplies I used will be listed below incase you want to check it out.  I hope you like this card and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas. Thank you! 🙂
