How to Color a Pumpkin-Gerda Steiner Designs

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m coloring some pumpkins.  I am using Gerda Steiner Designs Digital Images as well as Happy Fall Clear stamp set.  The pumpkins came from the Halloween cats and more and I also printed the hedgehog with pumpkin.  I resized the pumpkins in 3 different sizes before I printed them out.  That’s the cool thing about digital stamps, you can resize them to fit your needs.  I wanted to create a fall theme so I’m using some textured Ivory card stock and stamped a background using the Impressions and Obsessions  with Kalaidacolor ink pads.  I really like the way the background turned out.  I colored the pumpkin, using my Shinhan Touch twin markers.  I like my pumpkins brownish orange, I think it makes the pumpkins really pop.  I hope you guys enjoyed this and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks again 🙂

Easy Shaker Card Using Vellum and Faber Castell Pencils-Gerda Steiner Designs and Paper Temptress

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a Quick and easy vellum shaker card using Paper Temptess Card stock/Vellum and Gerda Steiner Designs Rubber stamp called Monster Kid.  I’ll be using several different products today, and I’ll explain a little about these products as I go.  First off, I’m using Gerda’s Rubber stamp today, and she has Digital stamps, Clear stamps and Rubber stamps available in her store.  I use her Digital and Clear stamps all the time, but I think this is the first time I’m sharing her Rubber stamps.  Just to explain a little about her rubber stamps, her rubber stamps come in Rubber only form.  Which means, it doesn’t have the cling cushion that you normally use to stick the stamp on to your acrylic block.  You have the option to mount them onto a cling foam mount if you choose to do so. I like to use my bare rubber stamps with the Aileen’s tack it over and over glue, which I explain in the video.  Her rubber stamps are excellent quality and it’s very thick and deeply etched, which will give you a really great impression.  I decide to use watercolor pencils to color in this image and I’m using the Faber Castell’s Art grip watercolor pencils.  These watercolor pencils are highly pigmented, great quality pencils which blend really easily, as you can see in the video.  They’re available in color family sets as well as different quantity sets.  I have a few of the color family sets, and I didn’t have all the color pallet available to me, so I implemented the Peerless watercolor as well.  These are fantastic pencils, and I love them dearly.

I also made a simple shaker portion, using some of Paper Temptress’s yummy colored vellum.  I love making this simple shaker, which is simple to make yet very fun.  Her vellum is perfect for things like this, because they are very thick and high quality.  I love these purple and orange card stocks, which also has some texture to them, which will add some more interest to this card.  Her card stocks are very thick and sturdy, making them very easy to work with.  I hope you like this card and please check out the video for the step by step tutorial. I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspiration and ideas.  Thanks again.

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a card for Gerda Steiner Designs and I’m using this super adorable digital image called Nerdy Kitten.  Super cute, I just love his glasses and his sweet face.  I printed him out on Neenah Solar White 80lb paper and cut it using the Simon Says Stamp In stitches circle die.  I’m coloring this image with my Prismacolor pencils, which I haven’t used in a while.  I colored the image with the pencils and blended it using Gamsol. If you didn’t know, Gamsol is a solvent that will break down the colors to smooth it out.  I have a full tutorial up above on how I made this card.  I hope you enjoyed this card and I thank you very much for stopping by, I always appreciate it.  All the supplies I used will be linked below if you’re interested.  Thanks again 🙂

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a card for Gerda Steiner Designs using this Little Fairy Digital image.  She is super cute so I just had to use her.  I printed her out on Neenah Solar 80lb card stock and fussy cut her out.  I’ll be coloring her using my Shinhantouch Brush Alcohol markers.  I pre-made the background using the Ken Oliver Color bursts and I’ll leave a link below where I demonstrate the color burst if you’re interested.  It’s a real fun item to play with.  After coloring the fairy, I sponged the rest of the background with Chipped Saphire distress ink and assembled everything together.  I do have a full tutorial on how I made this card up above if you want to take a look.  I hope you like this card and all the supplies I used will be linked below.  I want to thank you guys for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspiration and ideas.  Mahalo

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making this Shaker card using Gerda Steiner Designs Smart Cookie Digital Stamp set.  I’ve made a Candy Lei and a Candy medal to pass out to my Daughter’s PreSchool friends for her Graduation ceremony which I filmed but it didn’t get record completely so I had to delete it all together so I wanted to make something to show off this Super cute image.

I haven’t made a Shaker card in a while so I decided to make it today using this image.  As you can see up above, I do have a Full video tutorial on how I made this shaker card.  I decided to make a really simple card since I had only little bit of time to make this since my daughter is home for her break.  I colored this image using my Shihan touch brush markers and I stamped out a sentiment from a Fiskars Graduation stamp set and a Graduation cap as well.  I’ve left the link below for this image if you’re interested and I thank you guys so much for stopping by.  Please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks so much.

Gerda Steiner Designs Penny Slider Card

Gerda Slider 1

Gerda Slider 2

Aloha Guys!

Today I’ve made a card using Gerda Steiner Designs Roller Skating Bunny.  I’ll put the link below if you’d like to check it out.  He is super Cute!! As soon as I saw him, I knew I wanted to make a Slider card.  I’ve made a standard A2 size card and I cut a Silver Shimmery card stock at 4 1/4″x5 1/2″ to cover the entire card front.  I also cut a black Bazzil card stick at 4×5 1/4″ and a Chevron design paper at 3 3/4″x5″.  I printed the bunny out on Neenah Solar White card stock and colored the bunny using my Copic Markers.

Bunny: W5, W3, W1, R20

Roller Skates: R39, R29

Cupcakes: Y39, Y17, R85, R83, R39, R29

I used 2 penny’s and adhered 2 Semi-round Dimentionals in between the 2 penny’s.  This will be out sliding portion.  I used a Stampin Up’s punch to create a slit towards the bottom of the chevron card stock.  I attached the design paper to the black card stock first before punching.  You can create a slit with a craft knife or a paper trimmer as well.  I stuck the doubled penny in the slit to see how it moved and I punched a little more at the top of the slit to help it move a little more.  I attached the bunny to the penny using my hot glue gun because I wanted it to really stick on to the penny.  Because the bunny was longer, it was going all over the place so I attached a little pull tab using the same punch with black card stock.  You pull the tab back and forth and it slides like he’s skating.  I embossed a sentiment in white embossing powder on a 1/2″ black card stock and stuck it on the top.  This finishes my card, and I do have a Full Tutorial on my Youtube channel if you’d like to check that out.  Thank you so much for visiting and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks and much Mahalo.

My First Attempt with My New Spectrum Noir with Make it Crafty Image

IMG_7688

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m sharing a quick post while I’m playing around with my New Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and my New found Favorite Digi site, Make it Crafty. They carry both Digital and Rubber Stamps and I am in Love with their images. I purchased several images, and a lot more on my wish list, lol Look at this beautiful Rose!! My First attempt coloring with my New spectrum Noirs and trying to get use to the different tip, then I’m use to. I’ve had some questions regarding the SN and I will soon be doing a Product Focus on these markers. They are very Different than the Copics and there’s definitely a learning curve for me for me anyways, but these are really good markers.

IMG_7689

This is also an image I purchased from Make it Crafty, there was a set of 4 Beautiful flowers. I printed this on a kraft paper and used my Prismacolor pencils. I wanted this daisy to be white with a slight pink to it because I wanted to post it to their Color Challenge. Their color challenge was Kraft and Pink and I tried to add some pink to this daisy. I hope you guys enjoyed this quick post and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas. Thanks so much, Mahalo
