Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a very Clean and Simple DT Card for Tupelo Designs LLC using this Bird Crazy stamp set and some Copic Markers.  I’m Super excited to share with you guys that Tupelo Designs LLC is now carrying Copic markers!! Yay!!  I decided to make this card really simple because I wanted to go over some things regarding Copic Markers.  You can get a full step by step on how I made this card by watching the video link up above.

I wanted to go over some general information regarding these markers that might be handy to know.  First off, you can keep track of your copic markers by downloading a Free Color chart from copicmarker.com and I’ll leave a link below or you can even purchase this Hex Chart from Sandy Allnock’s website for several dollars, which is a handy tool as well.  She designed this chart to help us have an easier time finding the right color combinations that go well together and I think this chart is very helpful.  The copic markers have a different numbering system that you should know in order to choose the right combinations.  You can also get more detail information in this on the copic website as well.

These markers are alcohol base markers and with alcohol based markers, it’s very important to use the right ink that’s compatible with alcohol markers.  The most popular ink pad to use with these are Momento Tuxedo black ink or My Favorite Things Hybrid Licorice Black ink.  My personal favorite is the My favorite things Hybrid ink but it’s personal preference.  Choosing the right paper also makes a huge difference on how they blend.  It’s best to use a specialty card stock such as Neenah Solar White or  Spectrum Noir card stock just to name a few.  These card stocks have a slick surface, which will help with the markers to sit on top of the paper longer for a better blend.

For todays card, I decided to use this Bird Crazy stamp set from stampers anonymous.  I think these birds have the funniest expressions and each bird has their own personality which I love.  I stamped it out using My favorite things black licorice hybrid ink on Neenah solar white card stock and chose out several colors to color the birds.  I made this bird very colorful since this was a very simple card.  I found this very funny sentiment to go along with these birds from the Dylusions stamp set from my stash.  To see a full step by step on how I made this card, please watch the video up above or head on over to my youtube channel.  For all the supplies I used on this card will be in the description below. I thank you guys so much for stopping by and please subscribe and follow for more inspirations and ideas.  I’m super excited that Tupelo Designs LLC is carrying copic markers and I’ll be sharing more products using these markers in the future.  Thank you so much and I hope to see you back next time.

Tupelo Deisgns LLC DT Project Using Lyra Watersoluable Crayons

IMG_8240

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m doing some coloring for Tupelo Designs LLC using this  beautiful Stampendous Build a bouquet stamp set along with Lyra Watersoluable Cryons.  This is a beautiful stamp set and it’s really fun coloring them because of their size.  These stamp sets also come with Free Stencils which is another plus!!  I’m using the watercolor crayons to watercolor because I wanted to show you that you can use this for watercoloring.

The Lyra crayon are a high quality crayon that has a very vibrant pigment so it’s easier to use.  These glide on paper like butter, it almost has the consistency of a Gelato because of it’s creaminess.  If you’ve never tried out watercolor crayons, I suggest you try them out.  They are a whole lot of fun.

I’m not making a card with this today but just sharing my coloring process for this flower.  I do have a Full tutorial on my Youtube Channel if you’d like to check them out.  All the supplies I used in this video is linked below for your convenience.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and I’ll catch you guys next time.  Thanks

Gerda Steiner Designs Brand New Heavy Friends Stamp Card

Gerda Whale 1

Gerda Whale 2

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a simple card using Gerda Steiner Designs Brand New Stamp set Heavy Friends.  These are her Newest Collection and this is such a versatile stamp set, I just Love them.  I’ve used the Elephant last week and made my Daughter’s birthday invitations and today I’ll be using the Whale to make a Thank You card.  I’ve used the Simon Says Stamp Wave stencil and made my water background.  I used Tumble glass, Salty Ocean, and Chipped Sapphire and blended these using a mini blending tool.  I also splashed some water on the distressed water background to give more water texture and I cut the top of it to make the wave.

I also had a Black frame cut which will be going on top of the card panel and I popped it up using some foam dimentionals.  I stamped out the whale using Momento tuxedo black ink and fussy cut it out and colored it using my Copic markers.  I’ve used my warm greys W5, W3 and W1.  I also popped up the whale on top of my water I created and stamped out the sentiment that says Thanks a ton.  I do have a Full tutorial in the link below for my Youtube video and the links to all the supplies I used.  Thank you so much and please subscribe for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks

Gerda Steiner Designs-Kitten in Love

2015/02/img_7531.jpg

2015/02/img_7532.jpg

Aloha Guys!

Today I want to share with you a card I made using these adorable Kittens in Love.  This is a Gerda Steiner Designs Digital image and I absolutely love this.  I’ll leave a link below if you like to check it out.  As most of you guys know, I was lucky enough to be on Gerda Steiner Designs DT so I do get Physical and Digital stamps from Gerda to Create projects for her.  However, I LOVE her stamps!!  Not because I’m on the DT but because I Love her adorable, whimsical stamps.  I was using her stamps way before I was asked to be on the team.  So even though I create a lot of projects using her images, it’s because I want to NOT because I have to.

Ok, now lets get back to this card.  I printed the image out on Neenah Solar white, I use this card stock for all of my coloring images besides watercolor paper.  I cut out the Kittens using Stampin Up’s Heart Famelits.  I used a soft sky car stock and embossed it using the Stampin Up’s Retired Clouds embossing folder and distressed it using Tim Holtz peacock feathers distress ink.  I also cut a round hill, free hand and inked it up using Mowed lawn distressed ink.  I continued the hill on the heart piece where the kittens are sitting and distressed that as well with mowed lawn ink to give them a ground to sit on.  I mentioned that this was a Neenah but I used the Inktense pencils to color the kittens.  I only used a little bit of water, just to liquify the color so it was ok.  I gave them some patches as well to give them some character.  I lined up the Heart with the hill so it matched up perfectly and put the card together.  Just so that you know, all the cards that meet the requirement for OWH, I send the cards to them.  So I added Love you more sentiment since they always need love cards:)  I do have a Full Tutorial on my yotube channel if you’d like to check that out.  Thank you so much for visiting and Please Subscribe for more inspirations and ideas.  Much Mahalo:)

Gerda Steiner Designs New Collection-Late but with Love

2015/02/img_7539.jpg

2015/02/img_7540.jpg

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m very exited to share with you this Clear Stamp Collection from Gerda Steiner Designs.  As you guys know, I am on the Design Team for Gerda Steiner Designs but I was using her stamps way before being on the DT because I love her stamp collections.  With that being said, she released her very First Clear stamp set.  She has both digital and rubber stamps available on her site which I’ll put a link below.  These Photopolymer stamps are very high quality because I used a lot of different ink to stamp these out to see how well it stamps.  It stamped really clear and crisp.  Without further due, I’ll talk about this card I made using this stamp set.  I stamped out the snail and the envelope in Momento tuxedo black ink so that I can use my Copic markers to color them.  I have a piece of white card stock which I embossed using Stampin Up’s retired cloud embossing folder.  I distressed the edges for the sky portion using both broken china and peacock feathers.  I also cut some vellum using Mama elephants’ Trio die to use for my clouds and cut some actual clouds using Lawn Fawn’s Blue skies cloud die. I stamped out a hill of envelopes using Tim Holtz distress inks and used water to liquify the envelopes.  I also embossed the sentiment “Late but with Love” using Rangers’ Liquid Platinum.  For a Full Tutorial on how i made this card, Please check out my Youtube Channel.  Also, Please press the like button and Subscribe for more inspirations and ideas.  Much Mahalo:)

How to color using Crayola pencils and OMS on a book page

Error
This video doesn’t exist

I just wanted to share my New and improved video quality with you guys.  It was really frustrating that every time I upload a video it came out blurry.  Even I got annoyed watching my own video.  Thank you so much for your patience.  i finally figured out that my conversion was not in HD.  Once i figured that out and reconvert it to HD, videos became much more clear.  So I’m sharing my new and improved video today.  This is a coloring tutorial with Crayola colored pencils and OMS (odorless mineral spritz) on a old book page using Penny Black stamp (Blooming Garden).  There’s a lot of remarkable colored pencils out there and I have a quite a bit of them myself but they can get very pricey.  So when I found out that you can use OMS to blend any colored pencils, I tried it out with my daughters Crayola colored pencils.  I love to color and draw on and old book page for a truly distressed look so I decided to stamp out Penny Black blooming garden and color .  I think the results are amazing.  I didn’t come up with this whole idea but whoever came up with it  is very cleaver.  So try it out if you haven’t already…
