Aloha Guys!

Today I’m sharing my project fo Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. This was my March DT Project and I haven’t posted it yet so I thought this was the perfect time, since I haven’t been able to make any videos due to my Health condition 😦 Hopefully I’ll recover fast and will be able to see you guys back shortly. I’ve been bed ridden for the past week and I am still unable to move around, which is very frustrating. It’s nothing serious but it’s just the side effects from my past 2 major surgeries. It’s a pain in the butt, UGH!! I’m currently in a lot of pain so it’s really hard to move around as freely as I want. Good thing I have some videos I have in my archives, so you guys will have something to watch in the meantime 😉 I miss you guys all and hopefully I’ll see you back real soon. I want to thank everyone for all your wonderful support and all the kind words. It really puts a Big smile on my face and I truly appreciate it. Love you all ❤

I’ll be making a journal page using various products from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft and all the supply list will be available at http://www.fabercastell.com/design-memory-craft-us I hope you enjoyed this video and I hope to see you soon 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by!

Aloha Guys!

Today I have this whimsical Art journal page for you using Gerda Steiner Designs stamp sets.  I’ve used the Brush Bunny and Hoppy Happy stamp sets for this Journal.  When I saw this bunny holding a paintbrush, I knew I wanted to make a journal page out of it.  Since this bunny is super adorable, I decided to go with it and made this whimsical journal page. This is actually a book that I used.  I found 2 ginormous boxes full of text books and reading books that belong to my oldest daughter.  We boxed them up and put it with other items to donate but forgot about it.  Good thing I opened them up, it was like finding a gold mind, lol.  Here I was, purchasing used books from the Goodwill stores for $2.99-$4.99 to use for journaling and such, so I was thrilled that I found them!!  Yay!  Now I have tons of books I can use for any type of projects that I’ll be doing in the future!  Well, I hope you enjoy this step by step process.  If you enjoy this video, please subscribe, like and share if you can.  I’d really appreciate it.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and all your wonderful support.  I truly appreciate every single one of you.  Love you all and I’ll see you back soon 🙂

Aloha Guys!

Today I have an Art Journal page for you and this is my first page for Dictionary that we recently altered.  I wanted my first page to be special, that has meaning to me and this quote I found on Pinterest was perfect!!  ‘You are Confined only by the Walls you build yourself’  Since this is a Dictionary page, I did go ahead and glue several pages together to make it a little bit more sturdy.

I’ve used various products from Tupelo Designs LLC, since most of my products were purchased or given to me by the company.  I’m using some New products today, not new to the company but New to me.  I want to showcase as much products as possible, so you’ll be able to see it first hand on how these products work.  99% of the time, I make my projects with you guys, I don’t usually make one in advance.  This is good, since you’ll be able to see, what works and what doesn’t!  I’m keeping it real, mistakes and all 😉

Well, I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed making them.  Please leave suggestions on what you’d like to see.  Feedbacks and Suggestions are ALWAYS WELCOME!! 🙂  If you like what you see, please subscribe and and hit the like button.  This helps me to know that you like what you see.  I appreciate all your support and I’m blessed to have all of you as my friends.  Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you back soon.  Hugs ❤

How to make Distress ink Permanent-Scrapbook Layout

IMG_0055

Aloha Guys!

Today I’m here with Tupelo Designs LLC and I have a Scrapbook layout for you.  I kind of made it into a mixed media layout.  It didn’t start out that way but I really love how it turned out.  Scrapbooking in general has come a long way and there are multiple of ways people are keeping their memories.  There’s a regular layout, digital layout, project life, pocket books, mixed media….etc.  It really depends on you and your way of doing things.  I still make traditional double spread of layouts as well as some project life style.  I think mixed media layouts are also fun because you can play with all of your mixed media mediums.

Generally when I create layers for mixed media, I like to start off with a permanent medium.  Meaning, I start with mediums that I can layer over without disturbing the bottom layer.  As you all know, Distress line is very reactive with water besides their distress paints.  That’s what makes their products so unique but that can also be a bit challenging when layering a lot of different mediums.  In the last release, they brought out this fantastic new glaze that’ll made any distress line waterproof.  Awesome, right?  I don’t think I shared this product so that’s what I decided to do.  I totally changed my mind in the middle of this layout and came up with something that was totally different than my original design.

I started with my paper prepping using tissue paper to create some added texture and put gesso  on the entire surface to mute down my pattern paper.  I then chose 4 distress stains and sprayed at the top of the page, creating some fun drips.  I actually added some distress glaze on top of the sprays once it was dried and you’ll see a slight shine, from the glaze when I tilt it in the light.  Another one of my favorite technique is mixing my matte gel medium with the distress inks.  That will create a colored gel medium, which will remain permanent once it’s dried.  I’ve added some additional textures to finish off my page.  I kept it pretty simple yet colorful 🙂  All the mediums I used today are Faber-Castell Design Memory Crafts line and they are one of my favorites.   I hope you liked this video and please share, subscribe and like for more tutorials like this.  I thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you back soon 🙂

Please visit http://www.tupelodesignsllc.com for all the supplies used.

Also, please join us for our FB challenges we’ll be having on TDLLC’s FB pages for a chance to win some fabulous Prizes.  I’ll leave the links below, I hope to see you there 🙂

Photo Transfer on Canvas Faber Castell Design Memory Craft®

Aloha!

Today I am shaing a Photo transfer I did on a Canvas using various products from Faber Castell Design Memory Craft®.  I’ve created this in December for Faber Castell Design Memory Craft® and only now I’m sharing this since it needed to be on their blog first, before sharing it with you all 🙂

This was my first time doing a photo transfer onto a canvas and I didn’t do a test run before making this so I’m not even sure if it’s suppose to even look like this, lol

As you can see in the video, I printed the photo on a regular copy paper, laid it down and put gel medium on top of the picture.  Once it was completely dried, I sprayed the entire photo with water and started to peel the paper away, very gently.  I then used various products from Faber Castell Design Memory Craft®’s line to decorate this canvas.  I had a lot of fun doing it and I plan on doing more mixed media this year.  I hope you enjoy this video and if you have tips on getting a better transfer, please leave me a comment so that I can learn from you.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you next time 🙂
