Aloha Guys!

Today I’m making a simple card using Gerda Steiner Designs Brand New Stamp set Heavy Friends.  These are her Newest Collection and this is such a versatile stamp set, I just Love them.  I’ve used the Elephant last week and made my Daughter’s birthday invitations and today I’ll be using the Whale to make a Thank You card.  I’ve used the Simon Says Stamp Wave stencil and made my water background.  I used Tumble glass, Salty Ocean, and Chipped Sapphire and blended these using a mini blending tool.  I also splashed some water on the distressed water background to give more water texture and I cut the top of it to make the wave.

I also had a Black frame cut which will be going on top of the card panel and I popped it up using some foam dimentionals.  I stamped out the whale using Momento tuxedo black ink and fussy cut it out and colored it using my Copic markers.  I’ve used my warm greys W5, W3 and W1.  I also popped up the whale on top of my water I created and stamped out the sentiment that says Thanks a ton.  I do have a Full tutorial in the link below for my Youtube video and the links to all the supplies I used.  Thank you so much and please subscribe for more inspirations and ideas.  Thanks

  1. Dear Mrs. Joyce I just want it to thank you for shearing your beautiful creations, I recently started to follow you on youtube and I love your videos, but I was watching on your last video (coloring with the prismacolor pencils) and you made a comet that I quite did not understand, where you trying to say that because the prismacolor pencils are Mede in Mexico they are not high quality? I’m pretty sure there is a good reason the company decide to have them made there, I would have to do some research but in the mean time I would just like whit all due respect to share this whit you, Mexico it’s a very rich Contry in some many different areas and has a really tatelted artist and beautiful art schools and so has a high quality arts and crafts supplies, ones again I do not now what has change on the pencils but all I can said is if ther is something wrong whit them hopefully the company takes the necessary measures to fix this matter! Than you! Sincerely Alicia.

    • Hi Alicia,

I’m so sorry!! I didn’t mean to offend you. I apologize for making such a comment but that’s what I was told by the artists online. Many artists already know this because they called the company about it. I do go on and say how much I Love my Prismacolor pencils. I will delete the video though. Thank you so much for watching my videos and I hope you continue to watch. Thank you so much for writing me Alicia:)

      • Hi Joyce,

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my massage, I know you did not mean to harm anybody with that comment. I understand that maybe there is an issue with the prismacolor pencils and of course it has to be with the company’s manufacturer, and yes I do love my prismacolor pencils too. I feel bad that you decided to delete your video, my intention was only trying to point that just because that issue happens to be in Mexico, it doesn’t mean that everything in that country is bad and that is why I took the opportunity to mention about some of the beauty and talented people that country has. I do love your videos, you’re a very talented person and I’m looking forward for more video tutorials, Thank You! Lets keep creating something beautiful this world needs more of that!!! 😊
